A PhD-qualified environmental activist and natural rebel, she founded the Reet Aus Collection® and is recognized as a leader in industrial upcycling for fashion.
In her mission to create systemic change, Reet developed the Upmade® certification to help brands and factories implement scalable, sustainable upcycling processes. Her industrial method — known as “Upcycled by Reet Aus” or “U by Reet Aus” — transforms waste materials into products with higher value, better quality, or a new purpose, directly challenging the throwaway culture that dominates the global fashion industry.
Reet’s guiding mission is clear: to save the fashion industry from itself by proving that sustainability and large-scale production can coexist. For her groundbreaking work, she has earned numerous awards, including being named one of the “Top 20 Responsible Leaders in Northern Europe.”
