The Happy Pear

(Wicklow, Ireland) The Happy Pear began in 2004 with the mission of creating a healthier, happier world and building community. Founded by twin brothers Stephen and David Flynn in Greystones, County Wicklow, Ireland, The Happy Pear is known for its focus on healthy, plant-based food and its vibrant, community-oriented approach.

Through their cafés, cookbooks, online courses, and dynamic social media presence, this small business actively educates and inspires people worldwide to incorporate more fruits, vegetables, and plant-based meals into their diets — supporting both personal health and a more sustainable food system.

Today, The Happy Pear operates its original veg shop, a café and bakery in Greystones, a four-acre regenerative organic farm, and a coffee roastery. They offer over 80 plant-based food products (with 15 million units sold), fifteen-plus online courses (completed by more than 100,000 participants), a recipe club, and seven cookbooks that have sold over 500,000 copies. Their social media following has grown to nearly 2 million people.

And for a cheerful break, their YouTube series—such as Walking in Wicklow with The Happy Pear—captures the same spirit of joy, health, and community that drives their business every day.
